Please tell me how to disable the display of avatars only in the "Latest messages" block on the main page?

I think you mean the avatars on the boardindex, you can turn them off by uncheck the -> Display avatar last poster on the Board index, wich you find at Administration Center► Attachments and Avatars► Avatar Settings.

@Pipke: I use TinyPortal, I have managed to integrate your mod but I can't do it without the function of the connection/online status.

Basically, I am wondering how I can stop the online/connection part from showing in blocks. I am not very good with coding, I tinker and persist. So, I apologise if I am not explaining very clearly but I basically want the blocks to use the generic avatars your mod creates for those without custom/set ones but without the indication of the on/off status.

You can disable the connection/online status at the admin page -> Layout avatars -> Add connection status as icon overlay on avatar if user is online... to "please do not" that will disable all.

But as i read your question you want to use the connection/online status thoughout the entire forum but not in the tinyportal blocks, right?
