Maybe, because it's more of an idiom / phrase and misspelled?. Can't find it in a german dictonary, so what's the right version?
play hooky
play hookey
play hookie

play hooky seems right, at least the google translator can translate this variant. But almost all "get to know the team" topics use "play hookey" instead ..

Arantor

It's one of those lovely idiomatic words that means to skip school and do your own thing instead. Normally in England it's spelt 'hookey' but 'hookie' is also considered acceptable most of the time.
Holder of controversial views, all of which my own.

Matters not, as Antes misread it as "play hockey" (the game) - he then corrected his response.

You'll probably have more trouble finding people disagreeing with that statement than finding people who totally agree.

Also; way to bump a topic nearly 2 years later. o0
