I heard only geniuses pick green... soooo maybe its only phpbb users who don't like green ;)

jk, the phpbb users who switched to SMF are smart too.

With that jab in...I'd still like to see the other colors.
Never argue with an idiot; they'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

I like green and I've downloaded your theme, only one problem so far: the navigation buttons seem to be either missing or I've not installed it correctly. Any thoughts?

chadon

I am glad I am not the only one to like green :)
To have navigation buttons instead of text links you have to go to the admin panel in: Themes and Layout > Themes and Settings, click on the name of the theme you want to modify and check the box beside "Show buttons as images instead of text".
There is only english images so if the previous tips don't work, make sure the language is set to english and not english-utf8 in Server settings > Core Configuration.
I had this problem on my test forum installed with cpanel.

This theme has a color in it's name so I had to resubmit other color variations as a new theme.
You can download the new white and grey version here: SEO light weight

I had this problem on my test forum installed with cpanel.

I used cPanel for my installation also and it was the cause of the problem I experienced. Thanks to you I've now sorted it and I'll be using your green theme from now on...
Many thanks

chadon

 I am glad to hear the theme is useful to someone. From what I know, you are the first one using it ;)

Will this work with 1.1.6?

chadon

#11
 Yes, it worked with 1.1.5 and there is no change in theme files between the 1.1.5 and the 1.1.6 versions so all themes from the old version will work with the new one.

sbt

Question please? My forum has SMF 1.1.6 and TP 1.0.5, we have installed this theme, lovely btw, we have a text link to forum but not the button I created for it.

What would the edit be please for the index.template.php?
To get the text link I used this code which does direct to forum, but would prefer button like the other links.
// Show the [forum] button.
               echo '<li><a' , $current_action=='forum' ? ' class="current"' : '' , ' href="', $scripturl, '?action=forum"><span>Forum</span></a></li>';

Thank You.

chadon

Hi
I have never used Tiny Portal and I have no idea what modifications it does to the index.template.php file but from what you are showing, all you need to do is to edit the html code to show your image instead of the text link.
What about something like this:

// Show the [forum] button.
               echo '<li><a' , $current_action=='forum' ? ' class="current"' : '' , ' href="', $scripturl, '?action=forum"><img src="' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/forum.gif" alt="Forum" border="0" /></a></li>';

Of course, you would have to replace ' . $settings['images_url'] . '/' . $context['user']['language'] . '/forum.gif
by the path and the name of your image if it's not the same as the other buttons.
Pure html like <img src="/image-folder/image-name.gif" alt="Forum" border="0" /> will also work.

If I didn't understand your question right let me know  ;)

Hi,
I am sorry but this theme was created for SMF 1 and is not compatible with SMF 2.0.1.
I will probably make a SMF 2 version soon but in the meantime you will have to find another theme for your forum.
