Why when I use this mod to upload files it adds an extra line break between every line?  So when I upload a file with this code:

<?php

echo
'

<table border="0" width="80%" cellspacing="0" align="center" cellpadding="4" class="tborder">
<tr class="titlebg">
<td>'
$txt['gallery_filespace_list_title'] . ' - ' $context['gallery_filelist_realname'] . '</td>
</tr>
<tr class="windowbg">
<td>
<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="10" border="0" align="center" width="90%" class="tborder">
<tr class="catbg">
<td>'
$txt['gallery_app_image'] . '</td>
<td>'
$txt['gallery_filespace_filesize']  . '</td>
<td>'
$txt['gallery_text_options'] . '</td>
</tr>'
;
?>

I would get back something like this when I redownload the file with ftp:

<?php
echo
'

<table border="0" width="80%" cellspacing="0" align="center" cellpadding="4" class="tborder">

<tr class="titlebg">

<td>'
$txt['gallery_filespace_list_title'] . ' - ' $context['gallery_filelist_realname'] . '</td>

</tr>

<tr class="windowbg">

<td>

<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="10" border="0" align="center" width="90%" class="tborder">

<tr class="catbg">

<td>'
$txt['gallery_app_image'] . '</td>

<td>'
$txt['gallery_filespace_filesize']  . '</td>

<td>'
$txt['gallery_text_options'] . '</td>

</tr>'
;
?>

Any help would be grat as this is very annoying.

Wow great mod!... too bad im a beta user at the moment....Anyways I havent used this yet, but when i do im hoping it will have these features.... Dont knwo if it does, and if it does then consider them suggestions

File editor for .php, decomperssion tools (integrated with Cpanel somehow; no idea how you could pull off that one), when uploading there should be a status bar for percentage complete like the one for SMG (media galery), re-naming files, Im sure the current uploader allows any files and any size..... but i dont know if allows you to select your directory.

Thats all i can think of for the moment, Cant wait till this mod is compatable with the stable version of betas wich i hope will be out soon!

This installed fine on the default theme, but I had to copy the images from the package to the other themes installed (all are color variations of the default theme).

Works very well though - Thanks!

It wouldn't show the option in admin panel.. I know it's working but what's the code for find and replace/after to have it in admin panel. I do know it's right under maintenance options but it's not there now.

I hope I'm posting this in the right place.  Last February, I installed SMF and all went well. I got brave and installed some mods - including FileManager203.  Again all went as it should.  Somewhere along the way, I accidentally uploaded something I shouldn't have and it messed up a few things.  I don't remember what I uploaded.  I managed to fix everything except the File Manager.  The name shows in the Admin Maintenance panel but when I click on it, I am bounced back to the main forum.  I was told to uninstall the mod.  I would, but it does not show up on my list of mods - it could be that I did install it back then but the words File Manager remained on the maint list.

So now, I want to get the little things fixed.  I did find the download for a newer version of that file manager but it's for 1.1.7 and I have 1.1.8.  Would I mess things up even more if I installed the one for 1.1.7?    Is there something I may need to do before attempting to install this file?

I am still pretty much a novice so if you can help, it would be great!

I am running 1.1.8 and installed this mod... no problems, works just fine for me too!

Great tool, but it doesn't seem to work properly here. After I've editted a file, the changes are not visible when displaying (read-only) the file content. But when I edit the file again, the changes are right there. How is this possible?

Hi. I installed this. No errors. I am using smf 1.1.8

I am wanting to edit the index.php.

I click edit on the index.php on my root and it says:

An Error Has Occurred!
This file or folder, index.php, is protected by SMF File Manager, since it's essential for SMF to work correctly. To unprotect it, edit the $protected array in /Sources/FileManager.php.

What do you edit. I can't find it.

ninedoors

If you want to the index.php file you have to remove it from the $protected array which is in the main function in FileManager.php.
