It is only a few days that I see users with the above IP (including myself), I do not have a VPN, using Chrome, is it some sort of browser feature?

users are probably on a IPv6 address....   2.0 doesn't properly deal with them.   Yet another reason to upgrade to 2.1 :P

How did this happen overnight? Telecom providers switched to IPv6?

Probably even. If you haven't run in to this earlier, you've just been lucky. IPv6 has been rolling out for a good while already.
