Any solution? Everything works fine with Thunderbird, but not with Squirrelmail.

I'd like to see quick solution for this. I have lots of users that can't activate their account because of these gibberish emails. And I don't want to even imagine how many users cant get their new passwords.

One solution could be the use of if and else statements with this new and the old system. By comparing user's email domain to a list where are listed non-base64-capable email domains, user would get readable password or activation mail.

I don't have enough skills to do it, but it doesn't sound too hard to do!

This is a big issue for me and I'd like to see progress here.

Edit: And this isn't happening by just using UTF8. I have ISO-8859-1 and emails are unreadable at some webmails.

I can confirm user complaints about this also. Forum is Finnish (ISO-Latin).

We are discussing this at the moment. The problem comes down to webclients not respecting the mime headers and hence not base64 decoding the message. Unfortunately I'm not in a position to offer a fix at this very second.

Any solutions? I have to activate accounts by hand and many of those don't ever log in. And lots of users are registering new accounts just to pm me that they have forgotten their passwords and can't get a new one.

Any news about this annoying bug? cause certains future members can't read well their confirmation mail...(they could use base64 decoder on net but it's not well known and not to them to do this...), and members can't read them.
