I am following the instructions below in my attempt to change the forum background color:
In admin go to Themes and Layout....Modify themes select the theme u want to change then click Edit this theme's hxxp:stylesheets.select [nonactive] index.css ....
My current theme is Babylon core but I do not show anything under "Modify Themes"???
Also
I changed the logo.... I did this by changing the picture but kept the same file name (smflogo.gif) and uploaded that but it doesn't change the logo?

TIA

uploading with same name worked for me. are you sure you have the right file name?

Make sure it has a .png extension.

Why .png. The original extension for the logo was a .gif so I kept it the same?

I apologize, it's .png in SMF 2.0, you're right. It's .gif in 1.1.

So yes, keep same extension, remove smflogo.gif, upload yours and rename it to "smflogo.gif"

You'll need to refresh the page, or empty your cache, if you still see the old logo, trlkdivers.

As for the colours, it depends. You could try looking at the theme's style.css file, for that.
