Hi,

I update a topic but it does not go up in the board. Also I have recent plugin, it does not appear. Can you program SMF and Recent plugin for updated topics appearance?

Respects

Steve

Updated topics need to be reviewed by team members before it will show if you're talking about updating a specific mod.
DO NOT pm me for support unless asked to!

Updates to a topic do not move it to the top of the "recent posts" list.

Only new posts move a topic up.
Updates do not change the order at all... and there is no good way to make it do that,  given how smf orders posts.

Please do not PM, IM or Email me with support questions.  You will get better and faster responses in the support boards.  Thank you.

No, I am talking about the posts.

I hope there was a way to change it  :)

Emiliano what we do on my forum if there is a reason to update an existing post in a given topic, is to make a new post in the same topic announcing that an update was made in "post # xxxx, for xxxx reason" or something similar.

This way that 'update announcement' post goes to the top of the "recent posts" list, rather than the actual updated post. Hope this helps...

Well, there is, you just casually rewrite how SMF does everything. But I'd also note that this behaviour is consistent with how other forum platforms want.

I'm not sure SMF is the right fit for OP, though it's hard to say what actually is.
