Upgrading 1.1.7 to 2.0.2 -> 503 login problem <SOLVED>

HI,

I was upgrading my forum 1.1.7 to 2.0.2 with the large upgrade package. I had a 503 login incorrect message (with Filezilla run OK).

Now i have a "Unknown column 'add_deny' in 'field list'" message on my forum

What can i do?

I´m thinking to upload the 1.1.7 to 1.1.8 package http://custom.simplemachines.org/upgrades/index.php?action=upgrade;file=smf_patch_1.0.16_1.1.8.zip;smf_version=1.1.7 to solve it, is it a solution?

No, upgrade to 1.1.8 is not a solution.
What you have to do is follow the instructions you'll find in this page: http://wiki.simplemachines.org/smf/Upgrading

Did you check the file permissions to match those reported here?

In case fix the permissions doesn't solve the issue, what is the exact error message you get?

The permissions are OK

The error is:  "530 Login Incorrect"

If the upgrade asks for ftp data something is still "not-exactly-OK", but...okay.

So 503 or 530? Are two different things.
But judging from the message it should be 530. And on that issue I'm not sure what the solution could be. I found some other references to this error, but no real solution.

Can you try to create a new ftp account? Are you usually using FTP or SFTP?

In case would be possible to have a look directly? (i.e. would you allow me to try the upgrade?)

Incredible! the problem was Firefox and Settings_bak.php

I haven´t the file Settings_bak.php, and Firefox didn´t show me this error. When i changed to Chrome, i can read the "Settings_bak.php" error.

I have upload the Settings_bak.php and upgrade to SMF 2.0.2 without problems.

Great!...So it seems a bug with firefox...what version?
