Ah.

Right.

It may have nothing, at all, to do with that.

First thing to do, then, is check with your host.

Is everthing OK, from there end?

If they say that everything's OK, we'll have to dig around, to figure this one out.

i just submit a ticket for a fresh copy of my cp.. every time i face this problem....why i don't know....but every time i rebuild my forum..is there any option..?!!!

If the connection to your database isn't working there are two possibilities.

Either the database has problems, which your host will need to look at, or the information in Settings.php is wrong.

Now, installing that mod shouldn't affect the database.

So, I suspect that the server's down, which your host has to fix.

may i have to try repair_setiings.php   ?

Do you have all the correct info on your settings.php?

I over wrote my settings.php by accident yesterday and got the same thing after I up loaded a new one. I only changed the connection stuff and had to go back and change the $boardurl dir and all that stuff.

PS I think running repair-settings wil cure your ills, I keep a copy on my local computer, but I didn't even think of using it yesterday.

Illori

there is a link for where to download it on the wiki page it is also on the downloads page somewhere
