How do i put Navigation links under the header?

What i wish to do, I wish to put a website navigation under the header, i have my website and viewers then navigate to my forum and have no way to navigate back to my original index page of my site, I have done this in PHPBB3 but i have moved to SMF now and i am still learning the ropes, any idea on how to do this?

I changed the default home button to say 'index' . Then I added a button which is a URL link and called that one 'home'. My site is frameforum.org; you can have a look to see what I mean. If you want to try it that way, let me know and I'll post the code.
