hey i have seen this here
[Support Specialist]  [Developer]  [Customizer]  [SMF Friend]  [Charter Member]  [Marketing]  [Doc Writer]  [Project Manager]
and carnt find a mod for it any one tell me how its done please

It's part of 2.0 I believe.

If you are not using SMF 2.0, then this mod should do what you want:
Membergroup Color Legend
