This s great....Can you please help me?
I need a script which can display files n folder, should have an option to arrange them by alphabetical, date, size, if it's possible search option. I want this script for my site downloads not for forum. Can you please brother?

Aaron

You could try SNIF (attached) for that. Please don't ask for support regarding SNIF here though.

eckostylez

Any possibility that you could create a folder with said permissions that members could view?

This mod is pretty cool! :) I have a feature request though. Editing file contents. It would just let you edit the contents of a file. I hope you consider making this a feature soon! :)

Dang, I really want to install this Mod, it looks fabulous! :-(

Last month: Got an error on the dutch file. Deleted Mod before Aaron replied (thank you Aaron).

Now: Tried to install fresh - but get a Test Failed on index.php.

There's no need to do so, as it only appears in the admin panel.

You'll need to upload the images found in the package to the images directory of the theme that's missing them.

One question though, Is it compatible with SMF 1.1.1&TinyPortal v0.9.7. And if I install it, would I be able to still download new mods via the Package Installer?

Yes, it's compatible with both SMF 1.1.1 and TinyPortal 0.9.7, that is, it should be. Should you run into problems, please say so here. :)

I am using SMF 1.1.1 and TP 0.971

When I try to install the 1.0.2 version of File Manager through the package manager (using the default theme and language) I get an error:
The package you are trying to download or install is either corrupt or not compatible with this version of SMF.

Any ideas?

Aaron

I've just updated the mod to version 1.0.3. This new version fixes compatibility with SMF 1.1.1 and adds French localization. :)

Should be solved in the new version I just released. :)

Matthew Schenker

This looks like a terrific modification!  Does it work well with 1.1.2?

Aaron

Thanks! And yes, it should. :)

Matthew Schenker

Just to make sure...When I install this I get an error in the following lines:
4. Execute Modification    ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.dutch.php     Test failed
5. Execute Modification   ./Themes/default/languages/Modifications.french.php    Test failed

Should I just ignore these errors?

Thanks!

Aaron

Yep, it means you don't have Dutch or French languagefiles installed, which isn't relevant for your installation either. :)

Aaron.

Matthew Schenker

Thanks!  I appreciate the quick assistance!

Perhaps a silly question, but I am looking for a mod that allows users to share documents. As I was not sure from the description and this discussion, I prefer to ask before installing it.

When I install "File Manager", does this open a folder in my SMF forum where users can upload/download files (in a truly simple or "fool-proof" way)?

If not, does anyone know of such a modification?

Thanks.

Aaron

No, this mod adds a file manager to the admin panel.

If you're using TinyPortal, you can simply enable the downloads module. :)

Aaron.

linders

Thanks.
I downloaded TinyPortal and will install it asap.
