Hello, we're having trouble posting videos. Facebook and youtube have encountered an error in the video. How should I fix it?

Facebook and YouTube video links are not displayed. As an example picture I don't know why. Here are all the links that aren't showing.

The top two I don't think i can fix.... Looks like a video rights issue that the owner set on the video not to allow embedding.

Hi Friends,
I have a feeling I'm missing something obvious, but I'm still stuck 

I've made some MP4 videos using a software that makes screen recordings. I'm making tutorials for the vector graphics editor, Inkscape. They readily play flawlessly, in VLC Player, locally.

I installed this mod so I can put the MP4 videos in messages in my 2.1.4 version of SMF. So I checked MP4 (also Vimeo) in the Settings list, and clicked Save. But no new buttons were added to the message editor.

I checked Configuration > Features and Options > Bulletin Board Code, to see if any new tags were added. But I don't see any new ones.

I tried using img tags, but that didn't work. Is there possibly some way to use the code tags? Or some other tags?

How can I get an MP4 video player in messages?

Oh, interesting....  If I click in the blank space where I expect the mp4 player to be displayed, the video starts playing! It's just that there is no visible player or window or anything that can be seen. I'm not sure exactly what that means.

Could I be missing some software or something???

Oh, I see. I left my experiment using the img tags, but with the mp4 file inside. So somehow it's playing the video, even though there is nothing visible there.

There are no tags or icons in the editor with this mod.
You just place the link to the video site in the post and it embeds.

So it does not put a player in the message. It just puts a URL?

Oooohhh, I see what's happening. I use the message Preview button, to make sure everything looks ok, before I save it. But apparently in preview mode, it does not display the player. You have to actually save the message to see the player.

Fyi, there is no video site, in my case. I record the MP4 from my screen, using a freeware recorder.

Glad you figured it out. Yeah previews don't work. I had to disable on preview page for some reason i forget why now but i said in previous posts
