Hi I have been trying to find if there are any settings within SMF version 1.1.8 that allow Moderators to be notified when standard members post a topic on a board, this would also include replies to topics.

Thanks

karlbenson

This is not currently possible.
Users only get notified of posts when they have chose to be notified on posts/replies in any given board or topic.

We can move this to mod requests if you would like.

@servicemaster:

Can you state your mod request more precisely?
I'm wondering if I have the same request or if I have to open my own mod request.

My request looks like this:

Actual state:
User will get notified of new posts if subscribed to the corresponding topic.
User will get notified of new topics if subscribed to the corresponding board.

Target state (changes marked in blue):
User will get notified of new posts if subscribed to the corresponding topic.
User will get notified of new topics and new posts if subscribed to the corresponding board.

Additional information:
Some examples to make sure no one gets confused of the wording:

A "board" is this:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?board=20.0

A "topic" is this:
http://www.simplemachines.org/community/index.php?topic=146192.0

A "post" is an entry made in an existing topic.

I have turned my request into a Mod, if this is what you need have a look at:

(It's currently not restricted to moderators)

SabreOfParadise,

This sounds like a great mod, exactly what I am looking for.  Will it work on SMF 2.0 RC3 as well?  Thanks.

SabreOfParadise

No, I will work on SMF 2 support when it is released officially (RC = Beta).

I would love to see this for SMF 2.0

Working on it. I didn't got the SMF 2 Final mail so I'm a bit late.

It wasn't announced, so you're not the only one. However, if you subscribe to the news board, you'll get your mails back.
